Vincent N. Marzano, 56, of Watertown, passed away March 22, 2025, at the Samaritan Medical Center with his family by his side.
Vinny was born March 3, 1969, in Watertown, son of Vincent J. and Grace M. (Melara) Marzano. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1987. Vinny worked for Doldo Bros. Inc. before becoming a proud NYS Corrections Officer and NYSCOPBA union member for more than 31 years. His facilities included Sing Sing, Green Haven, Auburn, Watertown and Cape Vincent.
Vinny was proud of the home he created. He was meticulous and took joy in every project he sunk his teeth in to, from his stone feature wall, manicured flower gardens or back deck.
He was a gentle man with a big heart. Along with his dog Livy, Vinny provided a warm safe place for his family. We are eternally grateful for his generosity. Vinny also loved spending time with family and friends hunting and fishing at a family camp in the Adirondacks.
Surviving are two daughters, Vanessa P. and Julia M., both of Watertown, a brother John V., Watertown, three sisters, Lisa V., Rapid City, South Dakota, Gina R., Watertown and Tina M. (Rocco), Webster as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Monday, March 31, 2025 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
