It is with great sadness we share the passing of our beloved brother, Stephen J. Thornhill, on June 27, 2022.
He was born May 22, 1957 to proud parents Donald and Lucille Thornhill. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1975 and Jefferson Community College in 1983.
Steve enjoyed many summers at his favorite cottage on Pillar Point swimming, fishing and entertaining his many friends with his larger-than-life personality.
He loved Florida where he lived and worked for many years. It was also close to another of his favorite places, Jamaica. He travelled there many times, visiting old friends and making new ones each time he went.
Playing cards, reading, strumming his guitar, watching movies and attending concerts were some of his favorite things to do. But dining out with good conversation was definitely at the top of his list.
He is survived by his sisters Carol and Julie, and cousins. His father Donald passed in 2004 and mother, Lucille, in 2020.
Stephen will be remembered as an intelligent, funny, fearless and caring man. He was an amazing storyteller as he had lived through more experiences, good and bad, in his life than most people. We look forward to hearing them again someday. We will miss you. We wish you peace.
