Scott Lamica was a victim of a homicide in front of his home in Liverpool NY on September 6, 2024. The assailant has been apprehended and charged with murder.
Scott was born in Watertown New York on June 2, 1974. He is survived by his parents, Frank and Jacqueline Lamica, a son Kyle, his brother Mark and wife Nicole Lamica, a nephew Connor Lamica, and a niece Kate Lamica, who he was very close to. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1993. He had worked at the Varex Imaging Corporation which is the world’s largest independent supply and manufacture of x-ray imaging and image processing solutions. Scott developed computers and manuals for those processing solutions. Last year he had been promoted to the head of Quality Control at the Syracuse plant.
Scott was an avid car enthusiast and was a member of The Syracuse Corvette Club and owned several vehicles as well as motorcycles. His whole summer was spent attending several weekly car shows in the Syracuse area. If you needed help of any kind, you called Scott and he was there for you. Anything that had speed and wheels he was interested in.
The family is holding a private burial service with celebration of his life be held at a later date. Arrangements are with D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc.
