Roger C. Pachoud passed away on June 29, 2020, at the age of 72. Roger was born on Februrayn29, 1948.
Roger was known as “The Can Man” to many of his friends and people in the community. Roger previously lived at the Hay Meadow Residence (Sunmount), a family care home located in Malone, NY. He moved to the Parker Street residence and Pearl Street residences at The Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence. He currently lived at the Brownville residence with many of his friends. He was a friendly, funny and kind man.
Roger attended the Day Habilitation program located on Gaffney Drive in Watertown, NY. He enjoyed volunteering at CAPC (Community Action Planning Council) Food Pantry, Hospice shopping and Meals on Wheels. Roger valued being helpful and staying busy. Roger previously worked at the Redemption Center on Railroad Street working with cans & bottles and at Production Unlimited.
Roger’s passion was collecting cans and bottles to redeem for money, travelling to Tennessee (Nashville) on vacation, listening to country music, watching wrestling events, shopping especially for soda so he had a can/bottle to redeem for money, going out to eat, attending NASCAR & local races, spending time at the Brownville American Legion to play pool and drink non-alcoholic beer and spending time with his Advocate/friend, Jason Bice & Jason’s family.
Roger had special relationships with Howie, Michelle (grandma), Dawn (Donner), Lisa, Patti, Sabrina, Jordan, Vicky, Jason and Jason’s family.
Surviving are his two sisters, Karen Benn and Debbie Hart. His father, his mother, Rita and brother, Randy predeceased him.
Roger will be truly missed by his friends and all the support staff that shared his incredible life.
