Michele Rogers Michelis, 73, of Watertown passed away peacefully at Samaritan Medical Center on July 28th, 2024. Born on December 11, 1950 in Newport, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of Leo and Helen Rogers. She leaves on earth her two cherished sons, Todd and Jason Badalato.
Michele was a graduate of Watertown High School and went on to beauty school. She started her career at Charmettes Beauty Salon and retired at Main Street Salon. As a talented and dedicated hairdresser, she spent 43 years perfecting her craft, taking immense pride in making her clients look beautiful. Michele’s clients were more than just customers; they were friends who valued her warmth, creativity, and attentive ear. She continued to serve a few of her clients faithfully until her health declined.
Michele had a zest for life and a genuine love for people. She enjoyed dancing, singing, playing cards, and spending her summers at Crystal Lake with her Family and Friends. Her laughter was infectious, and her kindness left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Michele’s number one priority was spending quality time with her Family and living her faith with strength and grace.
Michele is survived by her sons, Todd (Becky) Badalato, Jason (Leigh) Badalato; her four beloved grandchildren, Jay Jay, Jordyn, Kole, and Chloe; and her siblings, Michael (Joan) Rogers, Cookie Bunce, Kim (Don) Smith, Willie (Rhonda) Rogers, Gwen (Tommy) Mitchell, and Robin (David) McKnight. Michele was predeceased by her mother, father, and her brother Pete. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and compassionate friends who meant the world to her and who she loved dearly.
She took pride in being a strong independent woman who faced life with unwavering courage and determination. Her legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to inspire all who knew her.
We want to thank the Staff at Samaritan, especially, Doctors Garcia, Haq, Budnik, Campitelli, and all of the amazing nurses who helped Michele along her journey.
Arrangements are with D. L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of Michele’s life will be held at a later date
