Marsha Coppola Obituary

Marsha Ann Coppola, 80, formerly of Watertown passed away Monday, October 23rd under the care of the kind and loving staff of the Memory Care Department at Traditions of Reagan Park in Avon, IN

Beloved mother of James Michael (Lori) Coppola and Loving grandmother of Kanon Michael Coppola (Indianapolis, IN). Dear sister of Mary Jane Guthrie, Avon, IN and Brenda Kirwan, Boston, MA and the late Mariano Coppola, Ettore Coppola, James Coppola, Joseph Coppola, Sarah Varno and Antoinette Casler.

An avid sports fan Marsha loved watching any type of sporting event whether it was Syracuse Athletics, NFL Football, MLB Baseball or racing of any kind.

She retired from Jefferson County after many years of service in various roles throughout the organization.

Marsha was a long-time member of St Anthony’s Church and often could be found volunteering for church events or any related needs to the former St Anthony’s school.  She was also Past President of the Sisters of the Precious Blood Auxiliary.

Her long list of volunteering didn’t stop there as she also was a long-time traveling companion for the Miss New York State Scholarship and Miss America pageants. In addition, she was a member of the Italian American Civic Association, American Legion, VFW, Eagles, Kiwanis, Salvation Army and many other civic groups.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, November 3rd from 5PM- 7PM at D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, 135 Keyes Ave, Watertown, NY (13601). A prayer service will be held on Saturday, November 4th at 8:15AM at the funeral home with a Mass of Catholic Burial at  9am at St Anthony’s Church, 850 Arsenal St., Watertown, NY (13601). Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
