Marjorie Augustine Obituary

 Marjorie Fleming Augustine 89 years old and a resident of Summit Village, passed away on   May 30, 2024 .  Marjorie, the youngest of seven children, was born in Antwerp, New York, on January 1, 1935 to Wallace and Francis Myers Fleming.  She graduated from Watertown High School in 1952.   On June 25, 1952 she was married to Frank D Augustine by Father Sechi at St. Anthony’s Church.  Frank passed away on January 10, 2011 after 58 years of marriage.
    For many years Marjorie stayed home and raised her 4 children.  Eventually, she went work at Bomax Manufacturing from its opening until the company was sold.   Marjorie then performed daycare in her home babysitting many children including her grandchildren.
    Marjorie enjoyed spending time with her family, family gatherings especially at Christmas and summer cookouts.  She and Frank were master canners using vegetables from the large garden Frank planted every year.  She enjoyed card games, Wordsearch puzzles, and Bingo.
     Marjorie is survived by 4 daughters Debra (Delvan) Streeter, Vickie (John) Rice, Kathy (Spencer) Harrienger, and Kim (Robert) Gordon; nine grandchildren: Kelly Monroe, Jordan Streeter, Tracy Rafferty, Misty Pacini, Shana Simmons, Bud Harrienger, Kylee Monroe, Kristin Moore, and Kari Kiah;  nineteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a brother Donald Fleming and several nieces and nephews.
     She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a son-in-law Delvan Streeter, her brothers: Roger and Archie who was killed in WWII, and her sisters: Leona Robbins, Virginia Delles, and Betty Noone.
   There will be no calling hours and a celebration of life for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 4th from noon til 3pm at the Italian American Civic Association.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking to please consider a donation to support the Oxbow Community Church.   Oxbow Community Church@yahoo.com.  We also wish to thank the staff on First Floor Skilled Care at Summit.  They showed much love and patience to Mom during her four-year residency.  She loved you all very much.
