Leslie Scott Bezio

Leslie Scott Bezio, 65, of Watertown, NY, passed away on July 25, 2024. Born in Plattsburgh, NY, on July 4, 1959, Leslie was a dedicated family man, a respected professional, and a cherished friend.

 Leslie graduated from AuSable Valley Central School and went on to serve with distinction as a New York State Correctional Officer, retiring from Dry Hill Correctional Facility. His dedication to his work and his community were a testament to his strong character and unwavering commitment.

 An avid outdoorsman, Leslie loved hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life and cherished moments spent with family and friends.

 Leslie is survived by his three children: Jessica Bezio, Joshua Scott Bezio and his wife Anne, and Benjamin Scott Bezio and his wife Christina. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Keagan Voss, Kalin Scott Porchay, Michael Scott Bezio, Matthew Scott Bezio, Miles Scott Bezio, Madeline Bezio, Avayah Bezio, Riley Emmons, and Hayden Scott Bezio. He is also survived by his stepfather Robbert Way and siblings, Sherman Bezio (Yvonne),  Tim Bezio (Lori), and Jodi Way as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Sherman Bezio and Tina Way,  and his brother, Bobby Way.

 A unique and cherished tradition of Leslie's was the passing down of the middle name Scott. This tradition, started with Leslie, continues through his sons and grandsons, ensuring that his memory and spirit will live on for generations to come.

 A celebration of Leslie's life will be held on August 24, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Greater Victory Fellowship, 2056 County Route 2, Orwell, NY 13426. All are welcome to join in honoring his memory and sharing stories of a life well-lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Leslie’s name. His legacy of love, tradition, and the joy of life will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
