With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son Joshua David Hartz, who was taken from us too soon on September 27, 2024 at the tender age of 34. He brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives with his kind heart, radiant smile, and boundless curiosity.
Though his time with us was brief, the depth of love and happiness he shared will forever remain in our hearts.
Joshua was born April 20, 1990 in Watertown NY son of Steven M Hartz and Kathryn A ( Powell) Hartz. He graduated from Watertown High School, attended JCC and studied at Modern Welding School in Albany NY. Josh was formerly employed with Dimension Fabrications Inc. as a welder.
Josh loved being outdoors exploring nature, caving, hiking and spending time with his family at the family cottages in Whites Bay Henderson Harbor NY. He loved kayaking, fishing, swimming, riding the jet ski, camp fires and putting on firework displays on the 4th of July. He was an avid animal lover and especially had a special relationship with the family dog Max. Josh was always reading and learning about new technologies,and what was going in the world.
Surviving besides his parents are a sister Julianna Hartz and her companion Zach Laisdell a niece Maryanna Hartz, maternal grandmother Susan Yecies several aunts uncles and cousins.
