James T. Hatch, 68, of So. Massey Street, Watertown, passed away December 25, 2024, at Samaritan Medical Center, surrounded by is family.
Jim was born June 24, 1956, in Alexandria Bay, NY, son of Clarence and Mary (Davis) Hatch, Sr. He received his GED and graduated from Jefferson Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice. Jim was a Corrections Officer for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department until his retirement in 2008 due to his health. Previously, Jim worked for the Pamelia Highway Department and delivered furniture for Morrison’s Furniture Store.
On August 20, 1998, he married Patricia A. Netto on Pillar Point.
Jim loved to go fishing and bowling. He was a NY Giants Football fan, a Laker’s Basketball fan and a NY Yankees Baseball fan. He played poker with his family regularly on Monday night and enjoyed going to Point Place in Bridgeport, NY where he was well known.
Surviving besides his beloved wife Patty, are six brothers, James (Roseann) Hatch, Sr., Dexter, Phillip Hatch, Watertown, Robert (Elizabeth) Hatch, Florida, William (Kathy Kane) Hatch, Watertown, Michael (Ann) Hatch, Sr., Ellisburg, Clarence Hatch, Jr., Watertown, four sisters, Tina (Kirk) Sykes, Pillar Point, Candy Byington, Watertown, Brenda Glass, Ellisburg, Bonnie (Claude) Baker Alexandria Bay, NY, a step son, Troy Gladle, Watertown, a step grandson Shane Gladle, several nieces and nephews, and Patty’s dog Oscar.
A sister, Barbara Woodside, a brother-in-law, Kenneth Glass, and a step son, Trevor Gladle, all died before him.
Calling hours for the family only will be from 1pm-3pm Monday, December 30, 2024 at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will be in the spring in North Watertown Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, December 30,2024 from 4-7pm at the VFW on Bellew Ave.
