Helga Maria Sophia White

Helga Maria Sophia White, 89 passed away at her residence in Carthage, NY on February 12, 2025. Helga was born April 28, 1935 in Kassel, Germany, the daughter of Georg and Elisabeth (Haldorn) Bork. She was united in marriage with William C. White on January 27, 1958.

Helga was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, and sewing. She liked going for walks and flower gardening. She was an independent spirit right to the end.

She is survived by two sons; William (JoAnn) White of Southwick, MA and Mikel White of Southaven, MS plus 3 grandchildren; Amanda Haller, Ryan White and Seth White. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband.

A graveside gathering will be held at 10 am on May 27, 2025 at Fairview Cemetery, Carthage, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Shore Animal League at www.animalleague.org
