Harrison S. Horning, 9, died September 14, 2024 at his home with his Mom and Dad by his side. Harrison had been battling cancer for the last year.
Harrison was born September 14, 2015 a son of Justin M. and Jessica L. Brand Horning. He was in third grade at South Jefferson Central School, Wilson Building.
Harrison was known for his kind spirit, quick sense of humor, and unwavering strength. He loved giving out “Harrison Hugs”, and would often go for walks at school where he would do just that. Harrison loved spending time with his family, and cousin sleepovers were always one of his favorite things. He also loved spending time outdoors with his Dad, throwing a ball for his dog, and going for walks with his Mom. He loved listening to music, playing video games (Mario was a favorite), and watching YouTube, where he learned new things all the time. He was known for teaching his parents one Harrison Lesson every day.
Surviving beside his parents are his maternal grandparent, Anne Marie Brand, Adams, paternal grandparents, Larry and Mary Castor, Adams Center, aunts and uncles, Frederick Brand, Watertown, Christopher (Kelsey) Brand, Brasher Falls, Maria Brand and Fiancé Zachary Moncalieri, Adams Center, NY, Zachary Castor, Adams Center, NY and five cousins, Charlie and Everly Brand, Jeremy Mailman, Dominic Moncalieri, and Derik Leonard-Ellsworth.
Calling hours will be Friday September 20, 2024 from 4PM - 7PM at D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be Saturday September 21, 2024 at 5PM at Sally Port View in Three Mile Bay, NY.
