Frederick Clark Obituary

Frederick P. Clark, 91, formerly of Watertown, died on January 2, 2018 in New Port Richey, Florida.

 

 Mr. Clark was born January 17, 1926, in Watertown, the oldest son of Frederick Anthony and Frances Kraemer Clark. He attended local schools and served in the United States Army Air Force from 1943 until 1946 as an Arial Gunner. Mr. Clark served aboard the B-29 Superfortress as a waist gunner, principally in the Pacific theater, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant.

 

Following his honorable discharge, Mr. Clark attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering utilizing the GI Bill. In Milwaukee he met and married Stella Stavrakis Clark on December 21, 1946 returning with her to Watertown. Mr. Clark worked for over 50 years in the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning trades and was highly respected by both his customers and peers for the quality of his work. He was a member of the Plumber and Steam Fitters Union Local #117 and #73.

 

Following the death of his wife of 43 years, Stella S. Clark, Mr. Clark married Joan B. DeLong Clark. At the time of his death they had been married 28 years, residing in Florida since 2000.

 

Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Joan, his daughter, Diane, Watertown, his brother, William B. “Skip” Clark, Kailua, Hawaii, as well as many nieces and nephews. His brother, Robert, and his three sisters, Katherine, Frances Ann, and Rosemary, all died before him.

 

A funeral mass will be held Friday, June 8th at St. Patrick’s Church at 10 AM with Msgr. Robert Aucoin officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.dlcalarco.com
