Edith E. King, 90, formerly of Flower Ave. E., passed away September 9, 2019 at Upstate University Hospital after a short illness.
Mrs. King was born on July 19, 1929 in Uchtdorf, Germany, daughter of Richard and Freda Schulze Schirmer. She graduated from high school in Germany. On December 2, 1957 she married Merlon King, he died April 2, 1994. Mr. King was in the United States Army when he married Edith, they moved to the United States in October of 1958. Mrs. King was a dental assistant for private dental offices in Washington, DC, at Walter Reed Medical Center and Fort Drum. For many years she worked with Dr. Edward L. Fagouri at Walter Reed Medical Center and Fort Drum. Mrs. King enjoyed reading and shopping.
She is survived by three nephews. Her sister Helga Schiller lived in Germany and died last week.
