Dennis Laemmermann Obituary

Dennis John Laemmermann, 58, of Watertown, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Samaritan Medical Center. He was born July 9, 1960, son of Donald and Mary Margaret (Moran) Laemmermann.  He graduated from Watertown High School in 1978.

Dennis was a skilled and creative chef and was involved in the food services industry for most of his life. He owned and operated the Palace Luncheonette on Public Square from 1986 - 2000 and the Palace Deli and Carousel Catering in the Paddock Arcade until 2004. Dennis also worked at a number of local establishments. For the past two years he was working his “dream job” as head chef and kitchen manager of Spokes, downtown Watertown

Dennis married Alice Jean Haggerty (now Boucher) July 25, 1981. They were divorced in 2001.  On October 22, 2011 he married Thomas H. Peterson. Both survive him, as well as their children: Amanda Jo (Craig) Phillips, Drew Gilbert Laemmermann (Meghan Weldon), Maureen Moran (Andrew) Hillabrandt and Ioseph Franco Peterson; grandchildren Avery Phillips, Kaylie, Zoie and Alexzander Hillabrandt; sister Dawn Marie (Michael) Amo and brother, Donald (Mary Jane) Laemmermann; many cousins, nieces and nephews, friend Michael Shecton, and an extended network of family and friends.

Dennis was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and was also active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church until its closure, serving on the vestry and as an active member of the men’s group.   For years he participated with local theater groups working backstage, onstage and in the orchestra as a percussionist. He enjoyed music, painting, spending time on the water, but most of all he cherished being surrounded by his family and friends.
