David J. Gray, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26 at the Samaritan Keep Home where he had been a resident since 2024.
David was born on November 11, 1940 to John and Mary Gray of Sackets Harbor, NY. He was a 1958 graduate of Sackets Harbor High School.
Upon graduation he continued to work at the Atomic Market grocery store, located on Main St. in Sackets Harbor, owned and operated by his father and mother. The family would like to thank his Office Administrator, Allana Jakubowski for her friendship and dedication in keeping the family business operational until the time of his retirement.
David enjoyed traveling with friends to P-Town, Boston, and New York City to name just a few. He also enjoyed the night life here at the Paddock Club and the Jack in the Box.
David was pre-deceased by his mother Mary E. Gray, his father John B. Gray Jr, his brother John E. Gray and his four BELOVED Boston Terriers....Lightening, Millenium, Boo Boo and McCauley who will be interred with him per his wishes.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Baisden, Orange Park Florida, his longtime partner Robert (Bob) Wentworth, Salisbury Maryland and several nieces and nephews.
