In Loving Memory of Ada Clark
January 5, 1925 — May 25, 2026
Ada Clark, age 101, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, in Watertown, NY. Born on January 5, 1925, in Yorkshire, England to Sam Atkinson and Clara Northrop, she lived a truly remarkable life spanning more than a century.
Growing up through the Great Depression and World War II, Ada learned the value of hard work, resilience, and family. She witnessed unprecedented changes in the world, from the invention of pre-sliced bread to the rise of the internet, she remained an anchor of the family, always grounded by her unwavering selflessness and British humor.
A true matriarch, Ada's greatest pride and joy was her family. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Clark. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy, survived by her two daughters: Stephanie (Paul) Ferguson and Christina (Scott McWilliams) Hart; adoring grandchildren: Justin (Melissa) Macy and Ashley (Cody Vallette) Hart; and two great-grandchildren: Mackenzie Macy and Theo Macy, all of whom will forever cherish the wisdom she shared.
Ada's empathy and care knew no bounds, right through to her final days. She was the kind of person who was always there when someone needed her - catering friends' weddings, giving neighbors the clothes out of her closet, or helping raise her two grandchildren - she was known as a “nana to all.” She loved to share her knowledge, never missing a chance to impart wisdom, a story, or a recipe.
In lieu of calling hours, Ada asked for her memory to be honored by remembering her in all of the good moments. Her family will hold a Celebration of Life at a future date.
Ada's legacy will live on through the recipes she has shared all over the world, and through all the good moments in her loved ones' lives.
