Peter L. Esposito

Peter L. Esposito, 85, of Sackets Harbor, formerly of Watertown, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2018 at Samaritan Medical Center.

Peter was born on September 20, 1932 in Watertown, New York. He was the son of Louis and Lucy Dick Esposito. He was a graduate of Watertown High School. On February 3, 1967 he married Patricia A. Davidson at Holy Family Church, in Watertown, NY. Peter served in the United States Air Force from 1955 until 1956, being honorably discharged from the United States Air Force Reserves in 1960.

Peter worked for the Johnson Newspaper Corporation and then completed his career in sales for WWNY TV and 790 WTNY Radio, retiring in 2004. He was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, a member of the Watertown Elks Lodge, VFW Post # 1400 and American Legion Post # 61. Peter was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening. He was most fond of traveling with his wife and spending time with his family.

Surviving besides his beloved wife of 55 years, Patricia, are two sons, Peter William, Rockhill, SC, Mark (Sonya), Watertown, two daughters, Lori (Kyle) Ohmann, Conover, NC, Lynn (Troy) Pietroski, Sackets Harbor, three grandchildren, Joshua Ohmann, Sarah Ohmann and Harris Esposito and family friend, Darcy Fargo. He is also survived by his maternal aunt, Lena Bearup, and several cousins.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 pm at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A prayer service will be held Friday at 9:15 am at the funeral home with a 10 am funeral mass at St. Patrick’s Church with Msgr. Robert Aucoin officiating.
