Lance Alexander Obituary

Lance J. Alexander, 35, of Liverpool, NY, formerly of Watertown, passed away May 25, 2018 at his home.

 

Lance was born July 31, 1982, in Watertown, son of Scott L. Alexander and Debra Gagnon Green. He graduated from South Jefferson High School in 2000, attended SUNY Potsdam and Jefferson Community College, where he played lacrosse while attending.  He received his  MBA with a Financial Endorsement from Clarkson University and his MBA with a Global Endorsement from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

 

Currently Lance was employed with the US Defense Contract Management Agency as a Defense Contract Administrator in Syracuse. Previously he was employed with the Department of Labor as a Labor Services Representative and was a liaison with the Human Relations Department for incoming soldiers at Fort Drum. He was a member of the board of directors for the Thompson Park Conservancy from 2014-2015.

 

Lance loved grilling on his Weber grill, playing Golf and Lacrosse, reading: especially WWII history. He lived life to the fullest, was outgoing, knew everyone, talked to everyone, had lots of friends and had a special smile. His family loved his life philosophy, he was a thinker.

 

Surviving are his best friend and companion, Katie Sylvester, Watertown, mother Debra (Robert) Green, Watertown, father, Scott (Gail) Alexander, Copenhagen, two brothers Joshua Alexander, Watertown, Ryan Alexander and his fiancé Samantha Crescenzi, Adams, a sister, Stephanie Green and her  fiancé Nicholas Cuppernell, three nephews, Hayden McAtee, Jameson Alexander, Finley Alexander, his maternal Grandmother, Patricia Gagnon, Carthage, his paternal Grandfather, Lewis (Lillian) Alexander, Copenhagen, and his dog, Elvis. He is predeceased by his maternal Grandfather, Norman Gagnon, and his paternal Grandmother, Barbara Parker.

 

Calling hours will be Friday, June 1, 2018 from 4-7pm at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11 am at the funeral home with Reverend Leon Schilling officiating. Everyone is invited to a Celebration of Life at the American Legion Don Rounds Post #586, immediately following the service Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
