Kathryn E. Giglio

Kathryn E. Giglio, 91, 847 Leray Street, formerly of Utica, NY died March 6, 2018, at Samaritan Keep Home Watertown, NY.

Mrs. Giglio was born June 12, 1926, in Utica, a daughter of Jerome and Annie Salzman Steates. Mrs. Giglio attended Utica area schools. She married Anthony Giglio March 17, 1944 in Utica, where she lived until 2008. Mr. Giglio died in 1982. Mrs. Giglio was a home maker and a communicant of Our Lady of Lords Church in Utica. She was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, bingo, and activities in her previous senior living center.

Surviving are three sons and a daughter in-law, Charles, Gardner, NC, Steven, Aberdeen, Washington, James (Lori), Albany, NY, five daughters and their husbands, Susan Shue (Daniel), Batavia, NY, Sharon Doolen (John), St. Charles, MO, Anne L. Sabatier (Robert), Springfield, VA, Mary Rose Long (Timothy), Watertown, Kathy Giglio (Charles Barbaro), Roanoke, VA, twenty one grandchildren, many great grandchildren. A sister-in-law, Gertrude Steates, New Hartford, NY, several nieces and nephews. A son, Anthony Giglio, three brothers, Charles, Jerome and Donald, predeceased her.
