Elizabeth Prosser Obituary

Elizabeth L. “Betty” Prosser, 79, of Watertown, passed away April 15, 2018 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, NY.

 

Betty was born November 30, 1938 in Newark, NJ , daughter of Frederick and Alma Larwell Ditmars. She graduated from Hackensack High School in New Jersey. Betty attended University of Mary Washington, San Jose State University and Kean University (Newark College) graduating with a bachelor’s of science in Elementary Education. On June 17, 1961, she married David W. Prosser at the Second Reform Dutch Church in Hackensack, NJ. Betty was a full time substitute teacher in the Watertown School System.

 

Betty has been a Mary Kay consultant since 1984. She loved the product and the company, but most of all the friendships she made thru her journey. She belonged to the P.E.O. Club and the North Country Bird Club. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

 

Surviving besides her husband are a daughter Catherine Prosser Polge, Watertown, a son Donald D. Prosser, Los Angeles, CA, four grandchildren, Forrest Prosser, Megan Prosser, and twins, Brandon and Brian Polge.

 

A celebration of life will be held Friday at 11 am at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Fred Garry officiating.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Woman of Grace, c/o First Presbyterian Church, 403 Washington Street, Watertown, NY 13601.
