Charlie bought his first dump truck shortly after marrying Nancy in 1966 and built his business through the years into a Milk Hauling and Dump Truck Operation in northern New York operating 100+ trucks. During this time Charlie and Nancy bought their first rental apartment house in Watertown which increased into several apartments and properties through the years and then purchased the Victory Diner and Shuler’s Restaurant in Watertown NY which became a family affair with all 3 children pitching in.  He then expanded south, purchasing Floyd Beck Trucking in Brooksville, FL in 1990 and moved his dump truck operation to Brooksville, FL purchasing a limerock mine to become one of the largest aggregate haulers in Central Florida. He retired from trucking in 2013 to spend more time with his family and pursue his hobbies of building computers and manicuring his lawns.

Charlie was a faithful member of St. John’s Church and a generous man who was always there to help anyone in need. He had a keen sense of humor, loved to tell stories and jokes, loved talking politics and especially loved a good party. He spent a lot of time with his grandchildren riding roller coasters, teaching them how to fix things, dancing and wrestling.
