Ann L. Grieco

Ann L. Grieco, 91, of Boon Street, passed away August 7, 2018, at Samaritan Summit Village, where she had been a resident for a short time.

Mrs. Grieco was born April 14, 1927, in Watertown, daughter of Michael and Angelina Grittani Mistersaro. On August 3, 1947 she married Peter Grieco at St. Anthony’s Church. Mr. Grieco died in 1982.  Mrs Grieco was employed with Grieco’s Brass Rail, Weston’s Department Store and the City of Watertown as a civil clerk in the city court office, retiring at 62.

Mrs. Grieco was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church a member of their Altar Rosary Society and was a volunteer at the Mt. Carmel Feast. She was a member of the Italian American Civic Association Auxillary. Mrs. Grieco enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking, watching Yankee Baseball and Syracuse Basketball.

Surviving are her son, Peter G. and (Julie) Grieco, Watertown, three daughters, Marianne M. (Michael) Colligan, Watertown, Patricia  G. “Pattie” (Kevin) Miller, Oswego, Janet M. (Jose) Echevarria, Merritt Island, FL, a sister, Josephine Grieco, Watertown, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A brother Joseph Mistersaro and two sisters, Rose Grant and Mary Palumbo, died before her.

Mrs. Grieco’s family would like to thank the staff of 3B at Samaritan Summit for all of the care and kindness they gave to their mother.

There will be no calling hours. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 11 am at St. Anthony’s Church with Msgr. Robert Aucoin officiating. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum. Arrangements are with D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc.
