Dear Linya and family, I shared many Sundays chatting with John at the pink chaired ladies circle at fellowship time. He had so many wonderful stories to share about his family and life. He truly felt happy and blessed. It reminded me of the times I sat and listened to my father tell me stories. I will miss his conversations and practical advice. He was such a big kid stuck in a tall man’s body. I feel blessed to have known him. May God bless you and comfort you.

Our deepest sympathy to the Bell family. I worked with John at Radio Shack many years ago. He was a gentlemans gentleman. He lived his life to the fullest.

Linya, so sorry for “All of our loss.”  I was just talking to him about his railroad “Stuff” all stuffed away!  He was happy to hear I was getting railroaded in!  He made such a difference in so many lives. We will miss his laughter and friendship, he was so tall!  Chris and I will have that root beer float and say a prayer for him and the family. God Bless you all

My deepest sympathy on your loss.  I used to work in the same building as Johan at Samaritan and we got to be friends.  John and I were Army veterans and I never tired of swapping war stories with him.  Everyone here at Samaritan who knew him is saddened by his sudden passing.  No one could tell a joke or spin a yarn or tall tale as well as John.  He will be sorely missed here.  God bless all of you, his family and I will be praying for all of you to get through this difficult time.

Linya, so sorry to hear of John’s passing.  I spoke with him last Friday at Mike Miller’s service and he seemed so happy and had that “smile in his voice”.  I know he was a great supporter of Samaritan, having seen him on many occasions at the front desk.  That is a tribute to his work ethic and loyalty.  Last Friday he told a quick story about a train trip the two of you took years ago.  It sounded fun.

Just in from CA to attend my granddaughter’s baptism. I arrived early on Sunday and had coffee with the guys , and sat next to John whom I’ve always enjoyed. We laughed and talked while we slowly sipped our brew. I was stunned to hear the sad news the next day. My brother and I always enjoyed John, admired him, and never minded any duty that the church called us to do , especially if John was a part of it. We will miss his smile.
