Please receive my deepest condolences on your loss. I was personally blessed to have been one of “Mrs. Kane’s” students in the former Order of the Eastern Star building in Adams. Years later, three of my children were to come home and tell me of the “nice lady” they spent their day with, a sentiment I smiled fondly at. I still remember the loving embrace that welcomed me back to class after my tonsilectomy, as she apologized for me missing finger painting!

Dear Mr. Kane, Frank, Karen and family,
I want to express my deepest sympathy on the passing of Mrs. Kane.  The memories of grade school in Adams have come flooding back and Mrs. Kane was a wonderful part of them.  Even though we all knew that having a parent as a teacher meant nothing went unknown.  I hope you find comfort in knowing the impact she had on so many people.

My sympathy to your family. Anna was my kindergarten teacher. I ran into her a few years ago at the Watertown YMCA. Other than us both being a tad older by about 50 years, she looked exactly as I remembered from childhood. She was a wonderful teacher with such a kind and gentle soul. I’ll always have fond memories of her.

Dear Dave,
I did not know your wife, but, from all I have read and heard you must have many lovely memories: may they ease your sorrow. I was asking about you just the other day - it really does not seem that long ago that we worked together helping to develop girls sports in the Frontier League. My sympathy to you and your family. Dear Dave, Frank and Karen,

I had the privilege of having Mrs. Kane as my second grade teacher. In class, we copied a short poem each morning to practice penmanship and learn. She provided a library of books “When I grow Up I want to be…..”. And I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the “teacher” book. Later on, I was your babysitter and cared for Frank and Karen! Anna was a great teacher and mom. I am sorry for your loss and hope that her life and joys can be celebrated in the days ahead.
Wishing you peace and love,

Mr Kane, Frank (Virginia) and Karen, I am so very sorry to hear about Mrs Kane. I never knew her first name, always called her Mrs Kane. I had her for kindergarten, as well as many many other students of the South Jefferson area. She touched so many lives throughout the years. Always a happy go lucky person, and always made feel better when I was down about something. Mrs Kane is definitely a role model. My condolences to The Kane Family. God Bless you as all.

I not only had the honor of having Mrs. Kane as my kindergarten teacher but I also worked with her when I started my teaching career at South Jeff.  She told me to call her “Anna” but I was never comfortable doing that.  She will always be “Mrs. Kane” to me.  An inspiration to us all.
